From Flint’s water to toxic green ooze on the highway: 

Hugh McDiarmid is a former environmental journalist, natural resources advocate, and most recently communications manager for the state’s environmental regulatory agency, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). He will explore the challenges of helping restore trust and transparency at EGLE in the wake of the of the Flint Water Crisis, while managing multiple other crises including a catastrophic dam failure, a toxic nightmare along a major freeway, and the collapse of a former uranium processing site into the Detroit River
