NPL will reopen on Monday, December 2 at 10am. As a reminder, NPL is fine free. So there's no need to worry about getting items back to the Library while we're closed. We encourage you to return them when we reopen.

Event Details

You are warmly invited to participate in NO-VI Chess Club's upcoming free chess tournament, open to players of all skill levels: beginners, intermediate, and advanced. This event is dedicated to raising cancer awareness. 

Who: Chess players who fully understand how to play chess

Highlight: Awards for 1st and 2nd place, Both Sections

Format: 3 Rounds, G25-d5/Swiss

Reporting Time: Noon - please be seated by 12:15pm

Participation Requirements:

  • Participants must bring their own chess board unless they have checked in with the organizers beforehand
  • Agreement to participate in all three rounds.

Attending With or Without an Adult

Parents, guardians or caregivers of children under the age of seven (7) years must be responsible for maintaining visual contact with and must be in the presence of their child at all times. Parents, guardians or caregivers of children between seven (7) and eleven (11) years old must remain at the Library but not necessarily in visual contact with their child.
