Event Details
Join Don LaCombe, automotive historian, and go behind-the-scenes to learn how the birthplace of the Model T was saved and started its new life as a world-renowned museum.
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant was very nearly destroyed. Through the passion of local preservationists and automotive heritage enthusiasts, however, this incredible artifact was officially preserved in 2000, and further escaped the five-alarm fire that consumed the nearly 100-year-old adjacent Studebaker Plant in 2005.
