Approximately 85% of US children ages 12 and older play video games, and about 86% of parents are concerned their children spend too much time gaming. Yet over 90% of young gamers say it has not negatively affected their mental health and even presents some benefits! This session will explore why games may appeal to them, potential benefits, warning signs of overuse, and strategies for helping students better balance their gaming time with their overall well-being.
